How to Use Matson’s VGM Portal

1. Log in (First time use: set User Name and Password)

2. Read and accept VGM Declaration

3. Enter Booking Number, click “Search”

4. Enter Container Number

5. Select VGM Method 1 or Method 2:

Method 1: Weighing the Packed Container

• Enter the unit of measure (kgs or lbs)
• Enter the container VGM
• Repeat steps above for additional containers if needed
• Click “Submit VGM”
• System automatically records the user who enters/edits VGM data

Method 2: Weighing all packages and cargo and dunnage / securing materials

• Enter the unit of measure (kgs or lbs)
• Enter dunnage weight
• Enter cargo weight
• Container tare weight will auto fill from Matson data base. User can override.
• Repeat steps above for additional containers if needed
• Click “Submit VGM”
• System automatically records the user who enters/edits VGM data

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for any additional containers

7. When all entries are complete, click “Submit Container VGM”

By submitting VGM data, the authorized individual has provided the shipper’s certification of compliance.
