2015 Annual Report Message from the CEO

Matson has been a community partner in Hawaii since 1882. With the addition of our new Alaska operations, Matson’s business activities now span the Pacific – and so do our community activities, with our employees at the tiller.

In 2015, the Matson Foundation contributed in excess of $2 million in cash and in-kind services to more than 650 community organizations – a new high-water mark for our company. Each recipient is listed in our Manifest -- just a handful are featured, visually illustrating the diversity of needs and opportunities.

Directed by our employees, the Foundation assists causes which have earned the respect and involvement of their colleagues, our business partners and other leaders in our communities. The Foundation honors their commitments and magnifies their contributions.

You’ll see in this Manifest that our employees are involved and generous, reflecting our values of improving the communities in which we work and live.
