At a celebration marking the occasion, Matson was presented with the Easterseals Hawaii Kahiau Award, recognizing our nearly 70 years of support ranging from serving on the Easterseals Hawaii Board to generous financial contributions to decades of entertaining the children and families of the Early Intervention program with holiday celebrations.

“Matson’s longstanding commitment to Easterseals Hawaii (ESH) continues today, helping ensure that more than 2,200 individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in Hawaii have access to person-centered care,” said Andrea Pettiford, CEO, ESH.

This is only the second Kahiau Award that has been presented. It is not an annual award and is only awarded on significant occasions to honor an individual or organization that has been integral to the success of ESH.

Ku’uhaku Park, senior vice president, government and community relations, accepted the award on behalf of Matson.
