“Olomana” was unable to berth Apia due to large swells, all Apia cargo has been discharged Nukualofa and we have arranged with PDL to load these units on their “Southern Lily” which arrives Nukualofa tonight estimated time of arrival to Apia is this Thursday 29 January.

Matson South Pacific Limited Auckland office will be closed on Monday 26th January 2015 due to a public holiday (Auckland Anniversary).

Also on Friday 6th February 2015 Matson South Pacific Limited Auckland Office will be closed due to a public holiday (Waitangi Day).

Australia and Fiji Service To Soloman Islands/Nauru & Vanuatu

Matson have decided that in order to address the delays being encountered and achieve a better schedule with “Imua II”, the following arrangements have been put in place.

AUSTRALIA TO SOLOMON ISLANDS AND NAURU
“Imua II” is scheduled to be back in service loading Brisbane 6th February, her port rotation will be Brisbane/Honiara/Noro/Nauru/Brisbane

FIJI TO SOLOMON ISLANDS AND NAURU
Under a slot arrangement with PDL using their vessel “Southern Phoenix”, shipments will now connect with “Imua II” over Honiara.

FIJI TO VANUATU
Matson will now service Vila and Santo via a slot arrangement with PDL using their vessel “Southern Moana”

The above is effective immediately and is shown on this week’s schedule issued today.

Please contact Matson South Pacific – Sales for further details as the current rates from Fiji to Solomon Islands and Vanuatu no longer apply and a new tariff will be issued.

Cook Islands Service - Matson/PDL Connecting Carrier Agreement

We are pleased to advise that Matson have signed a Connecting Carrier Agreement with Pacific Direct Line which takes effect from the “Liloa” voyage 34 loading in Suva on 20th February 2015. Under this new arrangement, Matson will provide PDL with an agreed number of slots on each sailing of “Liloa” and “Olomana” for their Cook Island cargo. Transfer to the Matson service will take place in either Suva or Apia.
