Position Summary:

Responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of the warehouse with particular emphasis on the effective management of warehouse personnel, and the implementation of warehouse action plans. Other responsibilities include tracking and recording of equipment hours and ensuring that equipment maintenance schedules are followed and employee meetings are conducted. 

Must have strong leadership experience, proven ability to operate the facility's WMS, and have effective Microsoft Office skills.

 

 
Specific accountabilities:

Operations- Provide direct supervision to warehouse personnel. Ensure the safe, clean, efficient operation of the warehouse to meet service standards.  Implement shipping and receiving work schedules and assignments to ensure effective & efficient operations.  Act as the primary trainer and mentor to new supervisors, leads and hourly personnel.




Shipping &Receiving- Directly supervise all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure they are completed correctly and timely.




Financial: Implement financial reporting to include flash reports and profit/loss statements.


 


Labor Management- Direct the operations of warehouse personnel to achieve established objectives. Develop and maintain a productive staff by matching the skill and background of personnel to work required. Apply sound communication and motivational techniques. Consistently implement programs to supervise, counsel and discipline subordinates. 



Customer Service- Consistentlty maintain a professional and courteous relationship with customers and ensure that all personnel do the same.


 

 
Essential skills and experience:

Five (5) or more years of related Warehousing & Distribution leadership experience. This related experience may be substituted for degree; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.  Proven track record of leadership, growth and innovation in Warehousing & Distribution.



Required skills and abilities:  Teamwork, leadership, communication, analytical, planning/organizing, quality assurance, adaptability, dependability, innovation.
